My-Eco-Ruler utilizes domestic and global databases.
In addition to the data users have, we use domestic and global environmental impact databases such as IDEA and Ecoinvent, as well as trade statistics, and measure them in processes tailored to the analysis purpose, in accordance with relevant ISO and domestic and international guidelines.
My Eco Ruler utilizes domestic and global databases in combination with user data such as recipe information.
In addition to the data users have, we use domestic and global environmental impact databases such as IDEA and Ecoinvent, as well as trade statistics, and impact analysis methods such as LIME, and measure them in processes tailored to the analysis purpose, in accordance with relevant ISO and domestic and international guidelines.
It is possible to complete the measurement in as little as 1 to 4 weeks after receiving the necessary information such as recipes.
It is common to spend about 30 minutes x 1 to 3 sessions to gather necessary information such as recipes.
After receiving the necessary information, users do not need to spend any effort until the results are generated. Users can focus on utilizing the outputted results.
It can be compared on a functional unit basis by identifying the functions (performance or characteristics) of the product and making the types, scales, and quantitative values of the functions equal.
We will propose the determination of functional units after consultation. It is possible to compare the product with environmental improvements to the previous conditions within the company or with average consumption conditions in each country.
Furthermore, in accordance with guidelines such as ISO, we do not conduct comparisons with other companies’ specific products.
Externally, they can be used for PR and branding of products or companies, and as PR materials for investors.
Internally, the visualization results at the product level can be used as input for discussions on improving decarbonization indicators such as GHGs among business members, and also as input for product development.
Furthermore, these methods can be used not only by companies that provide food-related products, but also by companies that have opportunities to consume food in their company cafeterias or at events such as snacks and internal events.
